Profile

Cristina Ariza is a research analyst at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. Her work examines the spread of radical right ideologies with the aim of developing policy responses to tackle extremism. She has led on research examining the narratives of non-violent radical groups in the UK and how they relate to violent extremists. She has experience in engaging with policymakers and government departments.

Before joining the Institute, Cristina worked as a freelance researcher in projects about radicalisation and counter-radicalisation in Spain and several UK think tanks. Cristina holds a master’s degree in war studies (South Asia and global security) from King’s College London, where she focused on radicalisation and counter-radicalisation. She holds an undergraduate degree in international relations and translation and interpreting from University Pontificia Comillas in Spain.
