Alessio works on his dissertation on radical right parties that have an increasing electoral success and impact in Western European party systems. His research project explores the programmatic flexibility of established radical right parties and it looks at how they actively intercept and internalise new recent fundamental socio-political changes.
His research employs a comparative case study research between Italian League and French National Rally using a content analysis approach for mass media and political manifesto data, covering a time frame between the early 1980s and 2019.
Prior to his PhD, Alessio obtained a M.A. double degree in European Studies between the University of Padova and the Jagiellonian University.
