Antonia Vaughan is a PhD Candidate at the University of Bath. Her PhD dissertation focuses on the ethics of researching the far right, and the inter-/intra-platform flows of alt right discourse. The ethics projects are interested in the intersection of networked harassment, context collapse, academic microcelebrity, and the neoliberal institution and the internet. For the second half, she is exploring how the alt right negotiate community and belief systems through discourse. Her research interests also include alt-tech platforms, and platform affordances.
