CARR Role:
The Head of Doctoral Fellows edits all posts for CARR’s Insights blog and coordinates publication with other Steering group members. The role also entails managing CARR’s Doctoral Forum and working to ensure CARR events are geared towards the interests of early career researchers.
Profile:
Michael Cole is a PhD candidate at the University of Tartu, Estonia, and a visiting researcher at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow. His dissertation, as part of the Marie Curie Horizon 2020 project ‘FATIGUE’, assesses Russia’s influence on far-right populist discourses in Georgia and Ukraine.
Michael’s research interests also include the relationship between football and politics, the use of social media to normalise extreme political views, and far-right community building.
