Profile:
Pragya Rai is a PhD candidate in the Department of Politics, History and International Relations at Loughborough University.
She received her Master of Arts degree in International Relations from Richmond, The American International University in London, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Birmingham.
Pragya’s area of research focuses on the interrelationship between misogyny and radical right violence and terrorism. Her work examines how misogyny of radical right groups have evolved over time, how narratives of the radical right catalyse hateful views and actions toward women, and how the worldviews propagated by misogyny and right-wing extremism have significant parallels, shared foundations and direct points of connection that justify violence as a legitimate course of redemption.
